What's Actually In The Soap?

Grass-fed saponified beef tallow, coconut oil, water, plus essential oils in our scented bars. That's it. No synthetic fragrances, no sulfates, no fillers — just five ingredients your skin will recognize.

Why Tallow? Isn't That Just Beef Fat?

Yes — and that's exactly the point. Beef tallow's fatty acid profile closely mirrors your skin's natural oils, which means it cleanses without stripping and supports your moisture barrier instead of breaking it down. It's how soap worked before the industry decided cheap synthetic detergents were good enough. We disagree.

Who Is This Soap Best For?

Our customers tell us our soap is especially good for dry, sensitive, or mature skin — but it's gentle enough for anyone. Silky and mild, it works on both face and body. If you've been worrying about conventional soaps or just want to know exactly what's touching your skin, this is where to start. We craft the highest quality soap on the market using only the best ingredients.

Who's Behind Ol' McDonald Soap Co.?

We're a small American brand built on one idea: real ingredients, made right, no compromises. We source tallow because quality in means quality out. Every bar is small-batch and handcrafted in the USA. We're not trying to be everything to everyone — just the best bar of soap you've ever used.
